Despite the presence of several submarine cables carrying about 9 terabytes of bandwidth in Nigeria, broadband deployment in the country, especially in the rural areas is failing to keep pace with today’s advanced, high-quality voice, data, graphics and video offerings.
This, some industry watchers and analysts have blamed on the lack of lastmile connectivity infrastructures in the country. But the availability of data hungry devices with multiple functionalities are part of the quagmire too. E-commerce is here, social media is here too; all eating data like never before.
